MGA tournaments are played under USGA rules. So if you finish EVERY putt, never improve your lie and have a solid understanding of what the colored stakes mean, you should be fine.
HOW PENALTY AREAS WORK
Penalty areas are marked with red or yellow stakes.
HOW O.B. / LOST BALLS WORK
Out of bounds is marked with white stakes or boundary fences. If your ball simply disappears off the face of the earth (a.k.a. lost ball), use the spot where it disappeared as your reference point and follow the rules in the video below.
All we ask is that you do your best to follow the rules of golf. If you're unsure on a rule, look it up or find some dude in pleated khakis and ask him before proceeding.
Every Chapter Leader has authority granted upon him by El Presidente to penalize anyone he damn well pleases if they're being a douche or blatantly sandbagging. If you think your Chapter Leader is abusing this policy please contact MGA Headquarters immediately.
